In 2007 the Minnesota State Legislature passed a bill forming a group, the Interpreting Stakeholders Work Group (ISWG) which was mandated with creating a report by February of 2008 recommending action to improve medical interpreter services in Minnesota. The Interpreting Stakeholders Group (ISG) was one of 13 groups named in the legislation to send a representative to the ISWG.
