We are seeking a self starter with a results orientation to assume the newly created position of General Manager. This position reports to the President of the company and will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the company.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Financial management including measurement, analysis, cash management and reporting.
- Provide strategic leadership by taking ownership of the business plan, planning process plan execution and accountability.
- Accountable for achievement of annual strategic plan and annual budget
- Develop cohesive management team.
- Responsible for the development and execution of the Sales & Marketing Plan.
- Responsible for margin management.
- Lead Connecting Culture’s Operations Team to ensure customer satisfaction and project delivery.
- Aggressively pursue costs savings opportunities (Lean) and new business growth.
Position requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree with a business field major
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of operations experience in service industry
- Experience in analyzing and understanding of financial statements
- 3-5 years of general management experience, Lean office training/experience, healthcare industry experience, and experience with rapid growth a plus.
Salary and Benefits:

Oromo Interpreter (part-time)--Center for Victims of Torture
The Center for Victims of Torture is seeking a part-time Oromo Interpreter to provide Oromo/English interpretation services to international clients who are receiving therapy, social and medical services. Interpretation is typically in a face-to-face setting, but there may be periodic need for phone interpretation or document translation. Interpretation services are provided on a part-time, as-needed basis, at locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Hours vary, but typically interpreters will work between 5 to 15 hours per week.
Qualification:
· Applicant must possess excellent interpreting skills.
· Fluency in Oromo and English.
· Interpreting experience in the medical, mental health or social services areas preferred.
· Experience working in a confidential environment.
· Interested in the advancement of human rights.
· Must be able to work flexible hours between the hours of 9 am –
5 pm, Monday - Friday.
Hourly Rate: $20-25 per hour

The candidate must posess effective personal communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, problem solving skills, the ability to facilitate understanding in communication between others who speak different languages, and have prior experience in and/or demonstrated affinity to working with children and families
The candidate must be able to demonstrate verbal and written proficiency in both the English and Cantonese/Mandarin languages. Saint Paul Public Schools is seeking qualified interpreters for on-call work. Applicants must be able to interpret fluently, provide their own transportation, respond to requests promptly and have e-mail access. Desired Qualifications include:
